How to Make your Home Photo Ready

Photography is an essential aspect of listing your home. Getting your home photo-ready can make it sell faster by attracting buyers. Since you only have one shot at a first impression, it needs to be a good one, and it needs to be enough to entice the buyers to look at the home further. Be sure your agent practices or employs a professional photographer and be sure your home is ready to be photographed.

Here at the Ryan Realty Group, we pride ourselves on our extensive marketing abilities. We have a professional photographer and videographer on staff who handles every home with care and is sure to show off every home's character. We will come and view your home, make any suggestions that will help increase your home value and give you any pointers we feel necessary to help make your home more susceptive to photographs. In some cases, we may even bring in a home stager to really hone in on your home's unique characteristics.

With that being said-Leave the dirty work to us!

All you will have left to do is a few cosmetic uplifts, most of which you probably already do on the daily!

Here are some tips that we ask our clients to do before shooting a home:

  1. Clean your entire home
  2. Get rid of any unnecessary nicknacks and clutter
  3. Replace any burnt-out lightbulbs
  4. Clean all your windows and open your blinds for ultimate lighting
  5. Be sure your kitchen is sparkling clean, all the dishes are cleaned and de-clutter your counters as best as you can
  6. Clean your bathrooms
  7. Tidy your throws on your couches and bed
  8. Make a plan for your pets. It helps the photographers as they won't have to be working around them
  9. Move your cars out of the driveway and de-clutter the exterior of your home (Ex. put your garbage bins in the garage)
  10. Refresh your landscaping. Mow your lawn, tidy your garden beds, organize your patio furniture.

You want to show off the best version of your home. Make your home inviting, just as if you were hosting a large gathering.
