2020 is at an end and now it's time to take a look back on the January 2021 Housing Market Update for Sarnia-Lambton.

There were 312 active listings in January, and 87 sold totalling just below $35 million dollars in sales volume, compared to January 2020 where we had 105 sold and just above $34 million in sales volume.

With around 34 days to sell vs 36 days to sell in January 2020, the average sale price was around $423 thousand dollars, vs $344 thousand in January 2020, which is a 23% increase in price. 37% of those sold were in the $200,000 to $400,000 price range.

There were 7 more homes on the market in January 2021 than December 2020, and the number of sales decreased by 18.
